GALAXIDI MARINE FARM S.A. (GMF) is a fish farm company, which was established in 1987, and it is situated near the picturesque town of Galaxidi on the northern coast of Corinthian Gulf in Greece.

 It is one of the oldest, most famous and well known company for its high quality fresh products like Sea Bream (Sparus aurata), Sea Bass (Dicentrarchus labrax), Red Porgy (Pagrus pagrus), Pandora (Pagellus erythrinus) and Sharp – Snout Sea Bream (Puntazzo puntazzo). The past 20 years, 95% of its production has been exported, most of the European Community countries, mainly to Italy, Germany, Austria, and Spain.

 GMF operations indicate that it is a technological leader in the fish industry. The company has three cage units and a modern packing station designed to latest EU specification, with automatic grading and weighting machines. At this moment the company has an annual production capacity of 3.000 tons.

 The large plastic round cages, the computer controlled feeding system and the latest hygienic practices are the elements characterizing GMF’s qualitative productions.

 The implementation of (HACCP) Control System by ΕΛΟΤ Α.Ε. according to ΕΛΟΤ 1416:00 for the production of fry, fish farming, packaging, and the distribution of fresh fish and the achieve of the Quality System Certificate by ΕΛΟΤ Α.Ε. according to ΕΛΟΤ ΕΝ ISO 9001:00 are guaranteed of the company high quality products.

 The company is listed to the Athens Stock Exchange since March 2002.

 The biggest and most competitive production advantage of the Company is that GMF is producing and growing fish “in their natural environment”. The big cages are placed approximately in 150m seawater depths, which assure the cleanest environment and the ideal growing conditions for the cultivation of our fish.

 Company’s brief history

 Some of most interesting and important points of our history development are:

1987  GMF’s Establishment by the Norwegian company LAX SA.

1988  GMF has done the very first harvest and was the first Greek company which has had export fishes to the Italian market.

1991  GMF had lease 20,000 more square meters of marine area in order to install his high seas new cage units which one was the first in Greece in depth of 150m. In addition, at the same time was start to build a maintenance building that includes a packing station for its sales needs.

1992  The building construction was complete.

1994  GMF had create and set up with Station for Sea Bass cooperation of Marine Farm Technology Ltd (England) a new Hatchery production.

1996  GMF starts to produce on its own hatchery station Sea Bream and Sea Bass fishes for own production needs. GMF shares were bought by today’s shareholders.

1997  GMF was complete its packing station update according to the latest EU specification.

1998  GMF lease and was expand by 40,000 more square meters its high seas cage installation.

2000  GMF had implemented Quality System Certificate by ELOT according to ΕΛΟΤ EN ISO 9002.

2001  GMF had implemented HACCP Control System by ELOT according to ΕΛΟΤ 1416 for the production, growing, packing, and the delivery of fry fishes.

2002  GMF was listed to Athens Stock Exchange at 20/03/2002 into the Parallel Market as G.M.F. (CR) with ISIN No.: GRS442003000

2003  GMF had implemented Quality System Certificate by ΕΛΟΤ Α.Ε. according to ΕΛΟΤ EN ISO 9001:00, for the production of fry, fish farming, packaging, sales and distribution of fresh fish {Seabream (Sparus aurata), SeaBass (Dicentrrhus labrax), Red Porgy (Pagrus pagrus), Red Pandora (Pagellus erythrinus), Sharp-snoot Seabream (Puntazzo puntazzo) and Dentex (Dentex dentex)} and design and development of new aquaculture products and processes.

2004 In March 2004 the Company joint with the company "DIAS FISHFARM A.V.E.E." they proceeded each in the repurchase of rate of 45% of attendance in the Italian company of attendances "ASTIR INTERNATIONAL S.R.L." which based in Rome, aiming at the joint growth of their network of marketing and distribution in Italy.

In June of same year, the Company joint with the company "DIAS FISHFARM A.V.E.E." they proceeded each in the repurchase of additional rate of 5% of attendance in the Italian company of attendances "ASTIR INTERNATIONAL S.R.L.".

Thus, the total attendance of GALAXIDI MARINE FARM S.A. and DIAS FISHFARM A.V.E.E. in the Italian company of attendances "ASTIR INTERNATIONAL S.R.L." is 50% each of total value roughly 134.000 Euros.

2005 The Company according to Ref. No. 3161/28.7.2005 Decision of the Region of Sterea Ellada /Agricultural Development Division/Section MAP, was granted permission to establish and operate a) Hatchery station of total annual capacity 4.000.000 young fish (seabream - seabass and other endemic mediterranean species), b) packing station, capacity 900 tons/annum and c) other land installations on leased municipal area of 25,583 sq meters located in the Municipality of Desfinas in the Prefecture of Fokida.

The company GALAXIDI MARINE FARM S.A. announced that within the framework of its activities and growth decided to proceed with the founding and establishment of a subsidiary company under the trade name "KIRFIS S.A.-MARINE FARM" and the distinctive title "KIRFIS S.A.". The purpose of the new company is the development of fish-producing stations and fish-farming units, the trade and exporting of fishes and relevant products, the provision of technical consulting as well as the drawing up of feasibility studies on specific issues. The headquarters of the newly-established company is in the Municipality of Galaxidi in Fokida. Its share capital amounts to EUR 200,000.00, while the participation of GALAXIDI MARINE FARM S.A. in the share capital of "KIRFIS S.A." will increase from 99.75% to 100.00%. The board of directors of the company will comprise four members with a five-year tenure. It is noted that on 17.11.2005 the company received a license for the establishment and operation of a fish-farming unit of 77 marine sq. meters near "Trahilos" area in prefecture of Fokida.

2006 The company completed the manufacture of a new modern fish packing plant which is situated in the region “Baklathra” Galaxidi Fokidas, as well as the manufacture of new fish hatchery plant in the region “Trachilas” of Municipality Desfinas Foikidas.

2007  The Company applies a food safety management system (H.A.C.C.P.) and a quality management system according to EN ISO 22000:2005 - EN ISO 9001:2000 standards respectively, certified by TUV AUSTRIA HELLAS.

2008 In November 2008 the company begins the sales of biological production of the species of sea bream and sea bass.
